I ask why is it just sitting in committee, Debi Rose answers "Hi Dan, I feel strongly about this matter as a cosponsor of this bill but I did not author the legislation. I suggest, if possible, that you also reach out to Transportation Committee Chair Council Member Vacca and the bill sponsor Council Member Vallone."

Would this legislation let a bike park there all day, or would we still be subject to the time limit? It's my understanding that you're not actually allowed to feed the meter repeatedly, so if it says 2 Hour parking, a car can't be there more than two hours even if the meter isn't expired.

Motorcycles would still be subject to the time limit. So if you overstayed, you would be fined.

Just got a ticket because my meter stub went missing from my bike. Did this legislation end up going anywhere or did it fizzle out?

We weren't able to get any legislative traction on this. Councilmembers just weren't interested.

For the future, keep the receipt in your wallet and fight any tickets after the fact. (It's a hassle, but it's all we've got).
