Has anyone been to Union Garage yet?

By the looks of their blog they're carrying some high-end stuff.

Yes they are in fact. They are carrying stuff usually not available locally. They have a lot of Rev It gear and their prices are comparable to Revzilla etc. Chris runs in and its in association with Moto Borgotaro. Worth a visit. Nice Sidi boots in stock.

It's true! We are open for business with a full range of four-season scooter and motorcycle gear. The new showroom is located at 103 Union Street in the Columbia Waterfront neighborhood of Brooklyn. We're right next door to Moto Borgotaro and just down the block from Scooter Bottega, close shot to the Brooklyn Bridge and right off the F train.

I opened the shop about a month ago with my partner Peter who runs Moto Borgotaro next door.

Yes, some of what we carry is high-end, but all of it is high-quality and good value. Jackets start at $220 and work up to four figures. Helmets start at $100. We've got 10 different gloves to choose from, boots from REV'IT!, Sidi and TCX and we just received our Halcyon goggles from the UK.

REV'IT! is our main line and we have a healthy selection already on the shelves with more showing up every week. We've also got helmets from Bell, leather jackets from Schott and Lost Worlds, deerskin riding gloves from Lee Parks Design and a whole wall of cold- and wet-weather riding gear.

We're open every day but Monday and by appointment if you can't make it within the regular 10-7 hours. Every Sunday we're here at 7:30 AM with free hot coffee and snacks while they last, and the espresso machine is on every day.

Just got the first shipment of the new REV'IT! urban line—jackets, cold- and wet-weather gloves and smart under layers -- which I'll now shamelessly plug:

$80 REV'IT! Hybrid urban winter gloves with Gore Windstopper, goatskin palm and knuckle protector

REV'IT! Gracia and Melville men's and women's waxed-cotton jackets with removable quilted thermal liner. Armored, waterproof, classy. $300 while they last.

Brera Bomber. Armor, zip-off fur collar, storm cuffs. Warm, dry, bombproof, available in S to XXL, Green, Black and Blue. $220

TCX motorcycle sneakers - waterproof protection that doesn't scream robocop; and women's TCX waterproof boots. $140; $220.
