Nice Montauk sticker, Nef. Here's mine:

Is that KLR an 08? My buddy has the same bike and is having a hoot on it. Thinks it's a real improvement over the 02 which he had (stolen).

Thanks Jillian. I like your Montauk sticker better :) Yup that is an '08. She's getting a bit of a makeover now. Should be done soon. This KLR was stolen recently and as soon as I got her back I decided to give her a well deserved face lift :)

Hello!

Postby pippo65 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 8:50 am

Hi friends,
my name is Filippo, I'm 34 years old and I'm Italian: excuse me for my bad american :-)
I'm a bikers like you, my motorbike is an Honda CB 1000 R, and I love the USA, NYC in particular: i live my holiday in the USA from 2004, and i will return from 25 february to 2 march 2012, in NYC, this time (the tenth) with my parents: my father also is a biker, on BMW R 1200 GS Adventure.

In the other times i see NYC and other city and States, in the East Coast, Central, South and West, but only by plain, train, bus or car: unfortunately, a motorbike rental is very expensive, right?

I ask You if in Manhattan or in the other boroughs of NYC there is a bar or a site withe many bikers and their motorbike, i see only a site of Hell's Angels in the East Village, but withouth any biker.

I'm very happy to be here with you, and I hope to know a lot of you!

Filippo

P.S. I'm on FB, Filippo Sorghi: if you want add me in the your friens I'm happy!

Welcome, Filippo!

NYC riders hang out Tuesdays at the Ear Inn in Manhattan at 326 Spring Street. There's also the Sidewalk Cafe on 94 Ave. A - I'm not sure whether there's a specific night where people meet up, though.

Renting a bike can be expensive, but you can try http://www.jupitersmc.com/ and maybe you'll find a deal to get you on a bike for a day or two - if the weather is warm!
